"Raymond's Run" Elements of Fiction Review

Mrs. Hislop will divide the class into groups.

Group 1: Determine the SETTING of "Raymond's Run."
1. Create a small POSTER including a PARAGRAPH about the SETTING.
2. Find 1 or 2 SENTENCES in the text of "R.R." that describe the SETTING. Copy them down EXACTLY onto your poster.

Group 2: Determine the main events in the PLOT of "Raymond's Run."
1. Create a small POSTER including a PARAGRAPH summarizing the PLOT.
2. Determine what the CLIMAX is of "Raymond's Run." Find the sentence that includes the CLIMAX, and copy it down EXACTLY onto your poster.

Group 3: Determine the main CONFLICTS for SQUEAKY in "Raymond's Run."
1. Create a small POSTER including a PARAGRAPH about SQUEAKY'S CONFLICTS.
2. Determine if the conflicts are INTERNAL or EXTERNAL.

Group 4: Identify all the CHARACTERS in "Raymond's Run."
1. Create a small POSTER including a PARAGRAPH describing SQUEAKY'S MOTIVATIONS.
2. Determine who the ANTAGONIST is and PROTAGONIST is.
3. Make a list of all the CHARACTERS.

Group 5: Determine the THEME of "Raymond's Run."
1. Create a small POSTER describing the THEME of "Raymond's Run."
2. Find at least two sentences from the TEXT that helped you figure out the THEME, and copy them down exactly onto your poster.
